New York City - The City that Never Sleeps...

If you can make it here, you can make it anywhere.. That’s what they say, and here are our tips to make it in NYC even if it’s just for a week.

Get your caffeine kicks and French inspired tricks at Café Gitane. The food is fantastic, décor French kitsch and the service great – it’s the quintessential New York City breakfast spot. Keep it simple with an orange brioche or go all out with baked eggs and Merguez sausages.

Stroll through the city with your coffee that’s almost as good as Jamaica Blue and take in the iconic architecture style that you can only find in New York. There’s a lot to cover - don’t miss out on the Flatiron Building or the Woolworths building – history buffs will love the rich stories both buildings have to tell.

Grab lunch at the Fatty Crab in the West Village, the Szechuan Pepper Lobster is a local obsession, balance it out with the Green Mango & Papaya Salad and head over to Central Park. Hire a bike and ride through the lines of cherry blossom trees, go for a carriage ride and listen to a born and bred New Yorker regal you with the authentic history only a local can know. Visit the zoo, pack a picnic and if you’re a Beatles fan (who isn’t!?) Strawberry Fields is a must.

We know! There is so much to do in New York! Book your flight now (Flight Centre has a deal on – flights from $1,159 – don’t miss out!) You’ll need at least a week!
