'Tis the season for holiday makeup! The Festive season is all about getting together with friends and family, enjoying the holidays and maybe indulging in a few cheeky sunset cocktails at a rooftop bar.

Summer is all about beautiful sun kissed skin, glossed lips and of course the ‘natural’ makeup look... not forgetting the bold lip, cat eye and the perfect brow.

There is definitely a look for everyone when it comes to getting ready for the festive season.

This season opt for a light texture liquid foundation, or a bronzer to create that effortless look. Adding an illuminator is a perfect addition to achieve a glowing effect. Team it back with a natural tone lipstick or gloss and you will have created the perfect look.
 

ROSEY CHEEKS…

To get the look this summer add colour and freshness to your face by adding a matte pink blush.

Apply below the cheeks and closer to the centre of your face. For a warmer summer vibe, try a cream or powder peach blush to warm up the apples of your cheeks.
 

all about EYES…

With your base and cheeks sorted it’s all about the eye makeup this summer. Try a loud, bold and vibrant eyeshadow this season. This summer the Smokey eye returns with a modern twist. Application is concentrated on the top lash line and lid, while the lower lash line is not lined.

If you are feeling game, you may like to try the dramatic blue eyeshadow trend. Believe it or not, ‘80s style blue eyeshadow is back. All you need to get the look is a monochrome deep blue eyeshadow painted in the crease of your eye, or opt for full impact with colouring the full eyelid.

If you’re opting for a bolder look, then wearing the current seasons’ lip will create a fresh on trend look. Keeping your skin bare add a red lip to create a low effort glamorous look. This season I love matte red lips lined with a visible lip liner to create a pouted look. 

Whilst it’s unusual to see dark shade lipsticks in summer, this season why not try a matte burgundy lip colour…..this is the perfect look for a night out on the town!!
