Easter at home - how to make it special and memorable

Easter is going to be very different this year as we all spend it home. There won't be the usual camping trips, community gatherings or egg hunts with all the kids in the street.

But we’re here to help you look on the sunny side… there can and there WILL still be Easter magic!!!

So don’t worry, be hoppy! To help you make Easter at home as special and memorable as ever, we’ve put together this handy list of ideas. We’re egg-cited!

1. EGG HUNTS AT HOME

  • Easter Egg Hunt Checklist - Flowers, bunny feet, creepy crawlies! How many can they find? Download our FREE printable checklist HERE
  • Funny Challenges - Hide some funny written challenges on your hunt. E.g. Quack like a duck! Do 10 star jumps! Hop like the Easter Bunny!
  • Easter Coupons - Make Easter coupons for kids to find! E.g. 30 minute date with Mum. Your choice of movie on Friday.
  • Golden Eggs - For the more experienced egg hunters, hide a few special ‘golden’ eggs in harder-to-find locations.

2. EASTER GAMES AT HOME

  • Easter Lawn Bowls - Place a chocolate bunny across your yard or deck. Get kids to roll balls to the bunny to see who gets the closest. Closest wins the bunny!
  • Easter Bingo - Host a family Easter bingo night! Download our FREE printable game HERE
  • Pin the Tail on the Bunny - Pin the tail on the Easter bunny by drawing (or printing) a big bunny. Cut out some fluffy tails with Blue Tack attached, blindfold the kids and go!

3. EASTER CRAFT AT HOME

  • Easter Bunny Trail - Leave a trail of Easter bunny footprints with chalk on your driveway or pavers.
  • Wooden Peg Bunnies - Get the kids to paint or draw on wooden pegs to make cute bunnies for decorations.
  • Edible Easter Food - You can almost turn anything into a bunny! A bowl of porridge can have apple slice ears and sultana eyes. A pancake face can have banana ears and blueberry eyes!
  • You can collect a FREE Activity Pack next time you're picking up your essentials at Chirnside Park - click here to find out how.
Hop to it!
